Why A Blog?

One of the most asked questions of all time.  We hear it from the time toddlers start to talk and it's continued to be asked throughout our lifetime from many different people.  So, you may ask, what's the point of this blog and what will it contain that will apply to me?  The truthful answer is I don't know.  My goal will be to share it and then let you apply it how you see fit or decide if it even fits for you.

We seem to live in a day and age where everything needs to be justified, proven, quantified, and explained for us to be interested.  I believe sometimes we just  need to read, think, and learn. The blog also needs to be short and sweet.  Twitter has made a business out of saying what's on your mind in 140 characters or less, so my goal with a blog is to share some thoughts in about 7-8 tweets (1,000 characters) or less.

I'll share some thoughts on relevant topics in the news as they impact athletics and activities.  Some may be shared articles, some will be my own thoughts, but most of all I'll attempt to let you know of so many of the positive things that are going on at Roosevelt High School.  This will be just another social platform to use as we celebrate life at Roosevelt.

I hope you'll enjoy some of my thoughts and views.  My aim is to not be on a soap box but to just share some ideas that I think will benefit us as we continue to work together to make Roosevelt High School the best high school that it can be in the CIML and in the state.

We have so much to be proud of, so much yet to do, but I have a dream and a vision of what Roosevelt will look like in another ten years and I hope this medium will help to share the vision and keep us moving toward a standard of excellence that will allow us to create even more Roughrider Pride among our school and community.

Thanks for sharing some time with me.
